[Regnum] Air Defense Forces shot down 1,120 Ukrainian drones and eight guided bombs in the Northeast Military District (NMD) in the past 24 hours. The Russian Defense Ministry's press service reported this on August 23.
Russian military also destroyed four HIMARS multiple launch rocket system projectiles.
Since the beginning of the Second Military Operation, the Russian Army has destroyed 674 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 217,821 drones, 669 anti-aircraft missile systems, 30,698 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,775 multiple launch rocket systems, 36,244 field artillery pieces and mortars, and 69,979 units of special military vehicles.
A day earlier, on August 22, air defense forces shot down 11 guided aerial bombs and 1,053 Ukrainian Armed Forces drones.
Between August 14 and 21, Russian air defense forces shot down 8,477 Ukrainian drones and 26 Flamingo cruise missiles. Furthermore, between August 15 and 21, Russian air defenses shot down 70 Ukrainian guided bombs, 17 U.S.-made HIMARS multiple launch rockets, and Czech-made Vampire missiles.
