[Regnum] A bear attacked a man in the yard of his home in Buryatia. The Tunkinsky District administration press service reported this on August 22.
The incident occurred in the village of Okhor-Shibir. A local resident was on his property when the predator approached him and attacked. The man managed to escape without injury.
District authorities warned of the risk of bears returning to the village in search of food. They recommended that villagers avoid storing food waste in open areas and keep pet dogs leashed in their yards to avoid provoking the predator.
Earlier, a female bear attacked a man in the Novgorod region. He was able to fight her off thanks to his dogs, who distracted the bear. The man was hospitalized with injuries to his head, arms, and legs.
