[Regnum] The death toll from the 7.4-magnitude earthquake in Colombia has reached 312, the National Disaster Risk Management Service (UNGRD) reported on August 19.
“312 people died, 4,380 were injured, 290 are listed as missing, 358 were rescued,” the department reported on social media.
The earthquake's aftermath affected 15 departments and 472 municipalities. A total of 292,043 people from 123,789 households were affected.
A total of 29,554 residential buildings were destroyed, another 134,342 were damaged, and 267 buildings collapsed. Also damaged were 303 medical facilities, 3,443 educational institutions, 413 roads, 49 road bridges, and five airports.
Previously, 304 deaths were reported.
