[NYP] Wild video shows an overly packed elevator plummeting several floors to the ground inside a Russian high-rise, leaving four men with broken legs.
Authorities said the nightmare scenario unfolded in an apartment building in Makhachkala, Dagestan after nine passengers got inside the elevator — which was only permitted to carry six people.
Footage shows the elevator suddenly jolts down, violently knocking passengers into each other and pulling them onto the floor.
The elevator fell 50 feet from the fourth floor to the ground, officials said.
Emergency services quickly rushed to the scene and tended to the wounded — with four of the passengers sufferin broken legs, according to the region’s health ministry. |
