[Regnum] A rowdy bear ate several heads of cattle in a village in the Kemerovo Region over the course of two weeks. Local residents reported this on August 9.
They complained that the bear was attacking cows and trampling vegetable gardens. In two weeks, it had eaten two sheep and killed two calves. As a result, residents were forced to guard the animals around the clock.
The victims told REN TV that the hunters had been given permission to shoot the animal, but this had not yet happened.
Earlier, a mother bear and her cubs caused a commotion in the town of Ivdel in the Sverdlovsk region. She had come from the forest with her cubs into the town. However, the animal was frightened by the large number of cars, people, and lights. The bear raced through the streets, startling passersby, before dashing back into the thicket. No one was injured.
Previously, a bear had approached a rural school in the Achinsky District of Krasnoyarsk Krai. To drive the predator away, a local police officer had to use his service weapon. No residents of the village were injured in the incident.
