Di-Quan Hunt, 32, was arrested on Thursday after footage showed him allegedly chasing down women and harassing them in the street, as well as punching and slapping a woman in one attack.
Hunt's arrest followed at least nine previous arrests in recent years, including assault with a deadly weapon, communicating threats, assault and violating domestic violence orders, WBTV reported.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Hunt was charged with assault on Thursday at around 7.30pm after multiple videos of assault and harassment, including an alleged assault reported on July 30.
The video saw a woman lying on the sidewalk as she was repeatedly punched nearly unconscious off East Boulevard in Charlotte.
