[Regnum] Russian air defense forces shot down 304 Ukrainian drones during the day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on August 4.
"During the day, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Moscow time, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 304 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles," the statement said.
The drones were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Tula regions, the Moscow region, and the Black Sea.
Earlier that day, five Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel were injured in an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Shebekino, Belgorod Oblast. Rescuers responded to a call to extinguish a truck fire that had been set ablaze by a drone strike. After successfully extinguishing the fire, as the Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel were leaving the scene, their emergency vehicle was struck again.
On the night of August 4, air defense systems shot down 320 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
