[Regnum] Moscow residents will be able to see a solar eclipse on the evening of August 12. However, it will be only partial and last only nine minutes. This was announced by the Moscow Planetarium press service on August 3.
The eclipse itself will begin at 8:08 PM Moscow time, and its phase will last approximately 4.5 hours. Residents of Spain, Iceland, eastern Greenland, and those native to Russia's Taymyr Peninsula will be able to see the entire phenomenon.
"In Moscow, a partial eclipse will begin at sunset. The sun will be obscured by a maximum of 1% and will disappear below the horizon in nine minutes," a planetarium representative told TASS.
