| [GeorgiaRecord] Growing concerns over the privacy risks of Flock Safety’s license plate reader and surveillance camera networks have intensified after a string of alleged misuse cases involving both law enforcement officers and company personnel, reinforcing arguments that the sensitive data these systems collect should not be gathered at all because patterns of abuse appear impossible to fully prevent. In Savannah, the Police Department announced that six employees — four officers and two civilian staff members — were placed on administrative leave after an internal audit found potential misuse of the department’s Flock Safety license plate reader system, according to WJCL. The cases were referred to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for independent criminal investigation, and the employees face possible discipline up to termination. The alleged violations, identified through SPD’s auditing processes under the Flock Safety Audit Assistance Program, involved searches unrelated to official law enforcement purposes, including queries targeting personal acquaintances and family members. One officer is also accused of providing access to the SPD Flock system to personnel from an outside agency. The internal probe began July 27. “Misuse of law enforcement tools and technology by SPD staff will not be tolerated,” Savannah Police Chief Lenny B. Gunther said in a statement. “The public places tremendous trust in us, and that trust must be earned every day.” SPD noted that all searches are logged and that weekly audits by its Office of Professional Standards have been added. Both investigations remain ongoing. The Savannah municipal administration has been especially nefarious in its support of globalist goals, including being soft on crime, Flock camera installation, and enablement of mass homelessness. A similar case unfolded in Fayetteville, where the Police Department fired three officers after they allegedly misused the Flock camera system, according to WSFB. Testing of a new auditing feature revealed that the officers conducted searches outside their scope of work, including looking up their own license plates or those of friends and family. The unidentified officers were first placed on administrative leave before being terminated. “The department will not speculate regarding the intent behind those searches,” the Fayetteville Police Department said in a statement. “However, searches of this nature are subject to strict scrutiny and were determined to have been conducted without a legitimate law-enforcement purpose, thereby constituting a violation of department policy.” Yet, it keeps happening. The department requested a criminal investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation; no charges have been announced. These incidents form part of a wider pattern across Georgia. A parallel controversy in metro Atlanta, reported by the Dunwoody-Brookhaven Ledger, revealed that Flock Safety executives themselves accessed sensitive camera feeds. Public records obtained by Dunwoody resident Jason Hunyar showed that Flock Vice President of Strategic Relations and Business Development Bob Carter logged into the Dunwoody Police Department’s 400-camera network on Sept. 30, 2025, and viewed only one feed: a camera inside a children’s gymnastics room at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta.
