| Nigeria: Troops rescue woman abducted by Boko Haram in 2021, total rescued through Gwoza corridor rises to 117 |

| By Zagazola Makama [Zagazola] Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have rescued a 20-year-old woman who was abducted by Boko Haram insurgents during the 2021 farming season after she escaped from a terrorist camp in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the victim, identified as Ummi Umar, was found by troops of the 82 Division Task Force Battalion, Ngoshe, while on a routine standing patrol at about 3:35 p.m. on July 29. The troops reportedly sighted her wandering around the Amuda Bridge area before taking her into protective custody.
