[Regnum] Air defense systems destroyed 842 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones in the special operation zone in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry press service reported on July 28.
The agency also clarified that air defense forces shot down 17 guided aerial bombs and three rockets from a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system.
Furthermore, over the past 24 hours, Russian military forces struck ammunition and fuel depots, Ukrainian fuel, energy, and transport infrastructure facilities that the enemy had exploited, production facilities and storage sites for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary deployment sites for Ukrainian Armed Forces and foreign mercenaries of the Kyiv regime in 142 districts. The strikes were carried out using tactical aviation, drones, missile forces, and artillery.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have recently stepped up attacks on civilian targets in Russia. On July 28, Ukrainian militants used a drone to attack a car in the village of Romashovka in the Belgorod region. The strike killed a man and injured another. The victim was taken to the Valuy Central District Hospital.
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously noted that Ukrainian troops are deliberately targeting civilians and civilian objects in Russia. The head of state described the methods used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Kyiv regime's foreign mercenaries as terrorist. In response to these terrorist attacks, Russian troops are striking military installations in Ukraine and facilities used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

More than 390 UAVs attempted to attack Moscow at night, most of which were shot down on the approaches
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the number of Ukrainian Armed Forces drones that flew toward the capital on the night of April 28.
"From 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM on July 28, more than 390 drones were flying in the direction of the Moscow region," Sobyanin said at the Moscow Aviation Institute.
According to military reports, most of the UAVs were neutralized by air defense forces on the distant approaches. Eighty-one enemy drones were destroyed on approach to Moscow.
Several dozen drones were destroyed in Domodedovo, Podolsk, Ramenskoye, and Kolomna on July 28. In Chekhov, a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone struck an apartment building on Zemskaya Street. Information on casualties is being clarified.
