Text: Gulf states have used the pause in Middle East fighting to strengthen their defenses against drones, drawing on combat experience that only Russia and Ukraine currently possess. Ukraine moved quickly to monetize its skills, deploying personnel and equipment to Qatar as part of an operational reinforcement against Iranian drones. Ukrainian teams brought three types of interceptor drones and short-range RADA RPS-42 radars, taking positions near key sites including Doha and desalination plants. While the practical effectiveness has been limited, they have begun promoting a full “turnkey” air-defense package to the Qatari authorities, adding an extra last line of protection against low-flying threats |
