In the wake of the terrorist attacks over the past day, Defense Minister Israel Katz and I have instructed the IDF, following consultations with members of the security cabinet and heads of the security establishment, to take a series of forceful steps against terror: To demolish the home of the terrorist who carried out this morning's attack near the village of Tel. To act forcefully in villages that serve as terror hotspots, including collecting weapons and revoking work permits. To bolster our forces throughout Judea and Samaria. To separate traffic routes and set up checkpoints in accordance with security needs. To accelerate the regularization of farms and the establishment of new ones. From the depths of my heart, I send condolences to the Melt family, whose son was murdered this morning in the heinous attack. Text: The Israeli military is gearing up for reprisal attacks by settlers against Palestinians following this morning's deadly clash in the West Bank village of Tell. The IDF says it is deploying forces ahead of the funeral for Benayahu Mellet, 32, who was killed in the incident, to prevent "confrontations" between Israelis and Palestinians. A military official warns that there has been an "atmosphere" of revenge since the deadly incident, and calls to enter Palestinian villages and carry out attacks.
