| 2 NYC synagogues targeted with feces, motor oil, lawmaker says |

| [IsraelTimes] Two New York City synagogues were targeted overnight Thursday-Friday “with motor oil and feces,” says New York State Assemblymember Nily Rozic. Rozic, an American-Israeli, represents part of eastern Queens in the state government. Rozic says the incidents are “another outrageous example of the sustained hate faced by our community.” The NYPD confirms that a suspect “threw a bag of motor oil” onto the exterior of a building at the address of an Orthodox synagogue in Queens. The police were alerted to the incident yesterday afternoon, the NYPD says, adding that the police’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating. An NYPD spokesperson says there is no additional information currently available. Details of reports from NYPD precincts sometimes take time to reach police headquarters. |
