[REGNUM.RU] Powerful supercyclone Bernadette is moving toward Moscow and Central Russia from the Kaliningrad region. This was reported by the Roscosmos press service on July 9.
The agency's Electro-L and Arktika-M satellites, from an altitude of 35,000 km, recorded a powerful atmospheric vortex that twisted the cloud front into an arc.
"The cyclone has already approached Moscow," the department reported on its Telegram channel.
Earlier, a powerful storm devastated city beaches in the Kaliningrad region. It toppled over 100 trees, damaging 14 cars and the roof of a private home. Kaliningrad Region Governor Alexey Besprozvannykh declared a state of high alert in the region. Authorities also urged residents and tourists to stay away from the coast.
