[REGNUM.RU] Over the past 24 hours, Russian Air Defense Forces destroyed eight guided bombs and over 900 drones belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the special operation zone. This was reported on July 8 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"Air defense systems shot down eight guided aerial bombs and 903 unmanned aerial vehicles," the Defense Ministry clarified.
Since the beginning of the Second World War, the Russian military has destroyed 673 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 177,206 drones, 665 air defense systems, 30,070 tanks and armored vehicles, 1,755 multiple rocket launchers, 35,683 guns and mortars, and 65,935 vehicles.
On July 6, Russian air defense forces shot down nine Ukrainian aerial bombs and 811 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in 24 hours. On July 5, Russian air defense assets destroyed 282 Ukrainian UAVs, nine guided aerial bombs, and a Neptune-MD missile in 24 hours. On June 27, air defense forces shot down three Flamingo long-range cruise missiles, 511 UAVs, and 17 aerial bombs.
On June 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russian forces are maintaining a strategic advantage in the Northern Military District (NMD) and advancing. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are unable to contain the onslaught of the Russian Armed Forces and are therefore resorting to terrorist methods, the head of state noted.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have struck logistics centers, as well as fuel, energy, and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (Ukrainian Armed Forces). The Russian Defense Ministry press service reported this on July 8.
Ammunition depots and temporary deployment points for Ukrainian military and foreign mercenaries in 157 districts were also hit.
The strikes were carried out using operational-tactical aviation, attack drones, missile forces and artillery.
On July 7, Russian forces struck parking lots for heavy-duty trucks used to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kharkiv and Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result, up to 10 vehicles were destroyed in both locations.
