According to the report, around 2:00 a.m., one quadcopter dropped a container of red paint onto the diplomatic mission's premises. A second drone, carrying a mock improvised explosive device, crashed into the immediate vicinity of the embassy building.
The diplomatic mission emphasized that this was not simply a provocation, but a blatant attempt to intimidate Russian diplomats. Similar incidents have become systematic in Stockholm. However, Swedish law enforcement agencies are only formally recording the attacks on the Russian embassy, ​​and the investigation into these provocations has not yielded any results, the publication also noted.
Last November, a drone carrying paint attacked the Russian Trade Mission building in Sweden. The incident occurred in Stockholm. According to the trade mission's press service, the number of similar incidents involving the trade mission building has exceeded two dozen since May 2024. Furthermore, two months before the incident, the Russian embassy in Sweden was also attacked by a drone carrying paint.
Commenting on the situation, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that the ongoing attacks on the Russian embassy in Sweden indicate that the country has lost control over its security since joining NATO. The diplomat noted that attacks on the embassy pose a threat not only to the embassy staff but also to residents of the Swedish capital.

Such incidents have become systematic in Stockholm. The embassy warned that all responsibility for the continued attacks on the Russian diplomatic mission and their possible consequences lies with the Swedish side.
