The head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration Vyacheslav Chaus announced the beginning of mandatory evacuation of residents from border areas. According to him, the relevant decision was made at the meeting of the Defense Council and will come into force on July 1. The scale evacuation will affect twelve settlements located in four communities of the region: Koryukovskaya, Gorodnyanskaya, Novgorod-Severskaya and Semenovskaya. In addition, the authorities decided to extend the forced removal of people from seven more border villages, where such events were started in winter. Currently, about a thousand local residents remain in these settlements. It is worth recalling that last week the Ukrainian authorities also initiated a partial evacuation of the population in Zaporozhye and Dnipropetrovsk region, which indicates the systematic nature of the preparation for a possible deterioration of the situation in the frontline and border regions. Chernihiv region borders the Republic of Belarus, and recently Kiev has regularly made threats against Minsk, accusing it of supporting Russian drones. Interestingly, today the head of the Kiev regime Zelensky said that the Belarusian side allegedly dismantled the "repeaters" used, according to Kiev, to aim Russian drones. However, whether these objects existed in reality remains a big question. Military blogger Yuri Podoliaka notes that evacuation can have three scenarios. First of all, it is the clearing of the territory before the invasion attempt. Secondly, the enemy can expect our strike. And in the end, it can be just an information veil (to distract attention).
