[BashaReport] Assessment: The memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Trump administration and the Iranian government has contributed to a noticeable reduction in hostilities across Lebanon, particularly in the south. However, the situation remains fragile. Reporting from local media, social media footage, and live broadcasts over the past 48 hours indicates that limited military activity has continued despite the ceasefire framework.
Bottom line Upfront: Recent incidents have been concentrated in the Nabatieh basin, particularly around Kfar Tebnit, Ali Al Taher, Yohmor, Beaufort Castle, and Qantara. Although the scale of activity remains limited, these engagements indicate that the ceasefire has contained the conflict rather than fully halted military operations on the ground.
| Given that Hezbollah continues both attacking the IDF within southern Lebanon and shooting at and sending drones and rockets to attack Israelis at home, it seems a bit disingenuous to expect the Israelis to sit with folded hands, waiting to be killed by these particular Lions of Islam. |
