[Regnum] The US military struck a suspected drug trafficking vessel in the Pacific Ocean. This was reported by the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) on June 16.
"Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was following known drug trafficking routes in the eastern Pacific Ocean and was involved in drug trafficking operations," the command clarified on social media.
It is noted that as a result of the US military strike, one drug terrorist was killed, two other men survived.
In late May, SOUTHCOM reported a similar incident. US forces struck a suspected drug smuggler's vessel in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Three people were killed during the operation.
Previous strikes on ships suspected of drug smuggling were carried out by the US military on April 19 ( which killed three people ) and April 15 (which resulted in the death of three people). On April 13 and 14, US military strikes on ships killed two men on board. Four more drug-trafficking suspects were later reported killed.
