[Regnum] The Israel Defense Forces struck a Hezbollah command center in the Beirut suburb of Dahieh. The IDF Spokesperson's Office reported this on June 14.
The Israeli Defense Ministry stated that the strike followed shelling by Hezbollah. The militant organization used the command center it attacked to prepare attacks against Israel.
"Measures were taken before the strike to minimize harm to civilians, including the use of precision-guided munitions and aerial surveillance," the IDF Spokesperson's Office reported on its Telegram channel.
Dahiyeh, in southern Beirut, is home to Hezbollah's headquarters. It is also home to approximately 976,000 people, most of whom are Shiites, but also have Sunni and Christian minorities.
