Text: Today’s recon took an interesting turn when this United States 🇺🇸 Air-Force Gulf-stream departed from its usual area of operation in south west and north central Nigeria, tracked toward northern Benin 🇧🇯, and then disappeared from radar coverage. The detour is noteworthy given the growing security challenges in northern Benin, where jihadist groups linked to the Sahel insurgency have increasingly carried out cross-border attacks and expanded their operational footprint. Whether the flight was related to ongoing security monitoring remains unknown. |
