[Korrespondent] The enemy is most active in the Pokrovsky direction. There, fighting continues in the areas of 11 settlements.
From the beginning of the day and as of 4:00 p.m., Russian aggressors attacked Ukrainian army positions 51 times in 12 directions. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in an operational update on Tuesday, June 9.
Thus, three combat clashes took place in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, one of which is still ongoing.
In the South-Slobozhansk direction, the enemy advanced three times near Prylipka and Zapadne. One battle is ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked once in the area of ​​Shyykivka.
In the Lymansky direction, our soldiers repelled six attacks near Borovaya, Chervony Stav, Novoselivka, Drobyshevye, and Ozernye. Three clashes are ongoing.
In the Slavyansk direction, four attempts by the invaders to advance near Zakitne and towards Rai-Oleksandrivka were stopped.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, four assaults were repelled near Ivano-Frankivsk, Illinivka, and Rusyn Yar. One clash is ongoing.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the invaders tried 16 times to push our soldiers out of the occupied positions in the areas of Shakhove, Zolotye Kolodyaz, Vilny, Bilytskyi, Rodynskyi, Shevchenko, Hryshynye, Sergiyevka, Kotlyny, Udachnyi, and Novopavlivka. One battle is ongoing.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy once tried to advance in the area of ​​Oleksandrograd.
In the Hulyaipil direction, the Defense Forces repelled seven attacks in the areas of Rybne, Vozdvizhivka, Rizdvyanka, Dobropillya, Zaliznychny, and Hulyaipilsky. Two clashes are ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, two assaults were stopped in the Stepovoye and Stepnohirsk areas.
The enemy has not yet carried out offensive operations in the Kramatorsk and Prydniprovsk directions.
We will remind you that since the beginning of 2026, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated 590 sq. km of territory from Russian invaders. Such data was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The head of state also stated that Russia has begun to lose the initiative on the battlefield, which opens up an opportunity for a diplomatic settlement of the war. There is now a "window" for negotiations, he believes.
