| MQ-9 drone shot down over Yemen |

Text: Upon further review, the landing gear assembly found among the debris recovered from a drone reportedly shot down over Ma'rib today bears a strong resemblance to the nose landing gear assembly of an MQ-9 Reaper. The wheel assembly, shock strut, upper mounting point, and mechanical linkage locations all align closely despite the damage sustained by the recovered component (see photo below). It is important to note that the MQ-9 Reaper is not operated exclusively by the United States. The platform has also been exported to countries including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, among others, meaning the presence of MQ-9-type wreckage alone does not confirm the operator. If the debris is indeed from an MQ-9, it appears that whoever is operating these systems continues to fly into what has become a well-established Houthi air denial zone around the Haylan Mountains, an area repeatedly cited by local media in connection with drone shootdowns.
