Troops neutralise two terrorists, destroy camps in Zamfara

Troops of 1 Operation FANSAN YANMA
…a Hausa phrase meaning "Sweeping Away Bandits"…
have neutralised two terrorists during a fighting patrol in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Security sources said the troops responded to reports of terrorist activities around Maradun and Gidan Dan Jaja communities at about 1:00 p.m. on May 27.

According to the sources, the troops made contact with the terrorists during the operation and overpowered them in the ensuing exchange.

The sources added that two terrorists were neutralised during the encounter.
