The T-90M tank is a major upgrade of the T-90 main battle tank. Development of the T-90M began in the early 2010s. The developers first unveiled the T-90M at the Army-2018 International Military-Technical Forum. The first vehicles were delivered to the Russian Armed Forces in the spring of 2020, and serial production began in early 2021.
In turn, the T-90 is a deeply modernized version of the T-72B tank, which is considered one of the best in the world in the West.
