This is how he commented on the data from the report of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which stated that the Barack Obama administration was behind the promotion of this disinformation.
"The masks have been removed. The US Director of National Intelligence has officially confirmed that President Obama orchestrated a Russian hoax against both President Trump and Russia," Dmitriev emphasized, calling for the perpetrators of this smear campaign to be held accountable to prevent similar provocations in the future.
Dmitriev added that Obama's library should have a large section on the hoax of Russian interference in the 2016 elections, since the 44th president has few other achievements.
Earlier, President Donald Trump accused Obama of treason and claimed that his predecessor, Biden, and Hillary Clinton were involved in fabricating false accusations against Russia. At the same time, the American leader admitted that Obama would likely escape prosecution for fabricating the charges due to the US Supreme Court's position on presidential immunity.
