| A CIA ‘dirty secret' facing scrutiny, investigative journalist says |

| [NEWSNATION] MK-Ultra: Ross Coulthart applauds probe into CIA’s ’dirty secret’ Plans for a congressional hearing on the CIA’s research into mind control are a welcome attempt to pry the lid off "one of the great dirty secrets" of the spy agency, investigative journalist Ross Coulthart says. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., recently announced her task force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets will meet May 13 to discuss the Cold War-era program known as MK-Ultra. Begun in the 1950s, the secret MK-Ultra project was a reaction to communist adversaries using brainwashing techniques on U.S. prisoners. Critics say the CIA initiative went too far, with American subjects coerced or tricked into taking mind-altering substances. "They went crazy trying to find ways to manipulating human beings against their will," Coulthart told "NewsNation Prime" on Sunday. "That included, horrifically, the use of, for example, LSD — hallucinogenic drugs being given to unwitting, innocent civilians." COULTHART SKEPTICAL UFO FILE DUMP IS COMING Coulthart said lingering questions about the CIA program dovetail with widely held views that the government has not been truthful about other topics, including "unidentified anomalous phenomena," or UAPs. President Trump has said he’s asked the Pentagon and other agencies to publicly share information they have on UFOs and potential nonhuman intelligence. But Coulthart, who has long investigated the topic, said it remains to be seen what information ultimately will come to light. He said Trump apparently has not put his directive into a binding executive order. "The White House is contemplating the release of something. I do think we’re entitled to be skeptical that we’re going to see the whole banana, though," Coulthart said. Video at link.
