| Bamyan Woman Creates Jobs for Dozens of Women |

| [ToloNews] A woman in Bamyan has created job opportunities for dozens of other women by establishing a dairy processing and packaging center. At this center, milk collected daily from local livestock farmers is processed and then supplied to the market. Fariba Andeshmand, 25, says that by setting up this center, she has provided direct and indirect job and income opportunities for dozens of women. Speaking to TOLOnews, Fariba Andeshmand said: "The goal of establishing this center is to support the economic development of women and families in Bamyan. We are engaged in dairy processing, packaging, and the production of dried yogurt (qurut)." She adds that she initially invested 100,000 Afghanis, but her operations have now expanded, and her investment has reached 1.5 million Afghanis. Fariba Andeshmand said: "Directly and indirectly, around 150 families are registered with us. Of these, 100 families are organized into groups, each consisting of 25 families, while another 50 families supply products to our representatives in various sectors." Tonight was going to be a special occasion... some dairy sellers in Bamyan say that modern and processed dairy products have a better market compared to traditional ones and are more popular among consumers. A dairy seller in Bamyan, Qurban Ali, said: "Products with standard packaging tend to sell better." Local officials say they plan to establish two large dairy centers in different parts of the province to support livestock farmers and boost the production of quality dairy products. |
