"As part of efforts to collect evidence of crimes committed by Ukrainian nationalists in recently liberated settlements of the DPR, the remains of 74 civilians were discovered and exhumed, and the necessary examinations have been ordered," the department said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that forensic experts are participating in crime scene inspections to collect evidence of crimes committed by the Kyiv regime. Over the past two weeks, more than 400 objects damaged by Ukrainian militants have been assessed.
On March 5, Investigative Committee head Alexander Bastrykin reported that 80 graves containing the bodies of civilians killed by the Ukrainian army had been discovered in the DPR. The civilians were killed either by artillery shelling or by automatic weapons fire. He noted that the killings by suicide drones of people attempting to flee the combat zone were particularly cynical.
