| Nigeria: Troops Take Over Arrested Soldier Over Alleged Gunrunning and Kidnapping in Delta |

Text: By Zagazola Makama Troops of 181 Amphibious Battalion have taken custody of a serving soldier allegedly arrested over gunrunning and kidnapping-related activities in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. Security sources said the suspect, a senior non-commissioned officer attached to 343 Artillery Regiment, Elele in Rivers State, was earlier apprehended in Ughelli town on April 23 by security operatives. The sources disclosed that the soldier was subsequently handed over to military authorities on April 27 for further investigation and disciplinary action. More at the link |
