Text: Since early April, ground conflict has increased in Sudan's most vulnerable border zone, the southern Blue Nile. Military activity has increased in Kurmuk, Baw, and Qaysan, following a brief lull in late March. Kili and Sali in Kurmuk have become hotbeds of violence as competing factions battle for crucial locations. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF)
Meanwhile, a secondary strike targeted Sali, 27 kilometres from Kurmuk. The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) repelled the Saturday attack, but Sali remains unstable. Since mid-January, the land has changed hands many times, with a new attack on the local army base reported Monday morning.
