According to experts, the tremors were recorded at 12:23 PM local time. The epicenter was located in western Mongolia, in a sparsely populated area between the Zavkhan and Govi-Altai aimags.
The earthquake's epicenter was located at a depth of 15 kilometers. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck Tuva yesterday. The quake was recorded 325 km southwest of Kyzyl, and the epicenter was 52 km west of the town of Ak-Dovurak. According to seismologists, the intensity at the epicenter was 6.8.
