[Korrespondent] More than half of the enemy attacks are concentrated in the Kostyantynivske and Pokrovske directions. Four clashes are currently underway there.
Since the beginning of the day, 52 clashes have occurred on the front between the Ukrainian army and the Russian occupiers in 10 main directions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational summary as of 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20.
Thus, in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders three times.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the Starytsia and Vilcha areas twice.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russians have tried four times to improve their position in the directions of Kupyansk, Kivsharivka, and Novoosynovo. Two clashes are ongoing.
In the Lymansky direction, our soldiers repelled one attempt by the invaders to advance near Karmazynivka.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the invaders carried out 13 attacks near Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivano-Pol, Illinivka, Oleksandro-Shultynye, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka. Two clashes are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the invaders tried to advance 17 times in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Filiya and towards the settlements of Kucheriv Yar, Vasylivka, Novopavlivka. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked twice in the directions of Kalynivka and Zlagoda.
In the Hulyaipil direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled eight attacks towards the settlements of Dobropillya, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Girke, Hulyaipilske and in the Hulyaipil area. Two more clashes are ongoing.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy conducted one futile assault in the direction of the Antoniv Bridge.
The enemy has not yet carried out offensive operations in the Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, and Orikhiv directions.
Earlier on Monday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine made a sharp statement that information about the "semi-encirclement of Sumy" was not true. Unverified rumors and gossip about the alleged danger to the regional center contribute to the destabilization of society and the emergence of panic, the military noted.
