[Regnum] The Russian Aerospace Forces received a batch of Su-35S maneuverable fighter jets. This was announced by the Rostec press service on April 17.
The Su-35S 4++ generation fighters are designed to achieve air superiority and are capable of striking targets at a significant distance from their base airfield.
They underwent a full cycle of factory testing. Russian Aerospace Forces pilots tested them in various operating modes and delivered them to their home airfield.
A pilot who participated in the tests said that the Su-35S is a maneuverable multi-role fighter.
"This equipment operates flawlessly, and the crew finds it easy to operate. We use this aircraft to perform various missions: intercepting air targets at long range, providing cover for strike groups and ground targets, destroying UAVs, and delivering precision strikes on ground and surface targets with precision weapons," Rostec's press service quoted him as saying.
In the area where the special operation is taking place, Su-35S crews also conduct reconnaissance and expose Ukrainian army positions at a significant depth from the line of contact.
Rostec's First Deputy Director Vladimir Artyakov called the Su-35S the most effective modern combat aircraft in the world and the record-holder for the number of enemy military aircraft intercepted.
Rostec previously announced that the Su-35S is capable of using the full range of modern aircraft weapons. The fighter is equipped with highly intelligent electronics, including an advanced electronic countermeasures and defense system.
