[Regnum] At least 250 people are missing after a ship sank in the Andaman Sea off the coast of Bangladesh. The Dhaka Tribune reported on April 14.
According to the newspaper, women and children are among the missing. On board were Bangladeshi citizens and members of the Rohingya ethnic minority. The vessel left the southern region of Bangladesh, Teknaf, and was heading towards Malaysia.
The ship's sinking was caused by strong gusts of wind, a severe storm, and significant overload.
