Text: IS-Somalia Maintains Mobile Low-Intensity Activity in Al-Miskaat. IS-Somalia continues to demonstrate a mobile, low-intensity presence across parts of the Al-Miskaat region. A daytime movement was reported near Tisjiic (Bari) at around 12:45 PM, consistent with previously observed movement patterns in Daray-Madoobe area. Tisjiic lies approximately 90 km southeast of Bosaso and around 30 km off the Bosaso–Galkacyo main route, placing it within a semi-remote corridor with occasional operational relevance. Reports indicate that IS fighters briefly encountered a nomadic household, forcing them to prepare food before withdrawing ahead of approaching local forces. The early withdrawal may suggest situational awareness of security movement or informal local alert mechanisms, though this remains unconfirmed. More at the link |
