Since the beginning of the day, 64 attacks by Russian invaders have taken place on the front. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational summary as of 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9.
Thus, in the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy twice tried to improve its position in the area of ​​Vovchanskiye Khutory. One attack is ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out four assault operations in the areas of Petropavlivka and Novoosynovoye.
In the Lyman direction, our soldiers repel three attempts by the invaders to advance towards the settlements of Novomykhailivka, Tverdokhlibovo, and Lyman.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked once near Nikiforivka.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the invaders carried out 19 attacks near the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivano-Frankivka, Stepanivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and Novopavlivka. Two clashes are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the invaders tried to advance 18 times in the areas of the settlements of Ivanivka, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Novopavlivka, Molodetske, and Novopidhorodne. Three enemy assault operations are ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked four times towards the settlements of Oleksandrovgrad, Vorone, and Zlagoda.
In the Hulyaipil direction, there were 10 attacks in the areas of Zaliznychne, Hulyaipil, Varvarivka, Hirky, Hulyaipilske, and Staroukrainka. Three clashes are ongoing.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy stormed three times towards the Antoniv Bridge. One battle is ongoing.
The enemy has not yet carried out assault operations in the North-Slobozhansky, Kursk, Slavyansky and Orekhov directions.
As a reminder, Russia lost over 1,000 soldiers killed and wounded in the 24 hours of April 8. The total number of Russian casualties is approaching 1.4 million people.
