The statement also said that it is Tehran's duty to repel aggressors in the region.
Earlier, the Lebanese Red Cross reported that more than 80 civilians were killed and another 200 were injured as a result of the Israeli rocket attack on Beirut.
This occurred the day after the ceasefire with Iran announced by US President Donald Trump. On the night of April 8, he announced an agreement with Iran on a two-week ceasefire. The politician also assured that the ceasefire would be bilateral. The US side, the head of the White House explained, received a 10-point proposal from Tehran, which will serve as the basis for the final agreement. One of these points concerns the full opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Following this strike, the Iranian news agency Fars reported that the Islamic Republic was considering launching a new military operation against Israel due to its ceasefire violations. Meanwhile, Iran views the ongoing attacks on Lebanon as either a direct order to Israel from the US or an example of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's unruliness.
