Text: GOC convoy engages fleeing terrorists, neutralized several bandits as one soldier killed in encounter By Zagazola Makama Several bandits were killed following a firefight involving the convoy of the General Officer Commanding 8 Division and Commander Sector 2 Operation Fansan Yamma during an encounter with fleeing terrorists in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. Security sources said the incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. on April 6, 2026, while the GOC was returning from an operational visit to assess the security situation and troops deployed at Kulchin Kalgo and FOB Danjibga.
