[Regnum] Israel and the United States launched a third strike on Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) reported this on March 27.
"The missile fell on the territory of the nuclear power plant, but there are no reports of casualties, material damage, or technical failures as a result of the missile's impact," the agency reported on social media.
The AEOI emphasized that attacks on peaceful nuclear infrastructure facilities violate all norms of international law and threaten the security of the entire region.
The Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant was previously attacked on March 17. A US or Israeli missile struck the facility. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran called the incident a violation of all international standards. The IAEA reported damage to a structure on the plant site 350 meters from the reactor; the power unit itself and personnel were unharmed.
On March 24, Iranian authorities again reported a shell hitting the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. The plant was not damaged, and personnel were safe.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said Moscow was extremely outraged by the new strikes near the Bushehr nuclear power plant, which were carried out despite assurances from US President Donald Trump that attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure would be suspended.
