[Regnum] A teenager who stabbed a 17-year-old man to death over a girl was arrested in St. Petersburg. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the city reported this on March 19.
"A 16-year-old boy has been detained on suspicion of committing the above-mentioned crime," the department clarified.
Investigators and forensic experts are working at the scene. A murder case has been opened into the incident.
The detainee is being interrogated.
According to preliminary reports, two teenagers had gotten into a fight the previous day over a girl they both liked. During the altercation, one of the teenagers stabbed his opponent in the stomach. The teenager died from his injuries. After the murder, the teenager buried the deceased's body near the railway tracks near the Kondakopshino platform.
