| Former Israeli ambassador doesn't think Iran war will last for an extra 6 months | |

| [The Hill] Former Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan said Wednesday he doesn’t believe the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran will last six more months. "From our point of view, removing a threat to global security, and definitely to Israel, because for Israel, Iran poses an existential threat, it’s worth even another six months. I don’t know," Erdan told NewsNation’s Blake Burman on "The Hill." "Do you think it goes that long? I mean, in Am—" Burman started to ask. "No, not at all. But I don’t like the fact that the Western world, the free world, keeps asking itself, how long is [it] going to take? That is exactly what the radical Muslims and the terrorists, they want us to do, because they want to extend the war, to lengthen the time of the war," Erdan responded. On Wednesday, Senate Republicans shot down a Democratic-led motion to advance a war powers resolution to stop President Trump’s military strikes against Iran. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.),
"U.S. diplomatic posts and military facilities in the Middle East are under constant attack. The war has expanded, now impacting at least 15 different countries, from the bases of our European allies to our allies in the region," Booker said on the Senate floor. Over the weekend, Trump said he was not prepared to declare victory against Iran, despite saying the U.S. had decimated the country on the military and economic fronts. "No, I’m not going to do that.
