[Regnum] Iranian-enriched uranium is currently buried under the rubble of US-destroyed nuclear facilities and could be removed, but Iran has no such plans. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on March 15.
"As you know, our nuclear facilities were attacked. And everything is under rubble. Of course, there is the possibility of removing them, but only under the supervision of the [International] Atomic Energy Agency. But for now, we don't have a [nuclear] program. We have no plans to remove them from under the rubble," Araghchi said in an interview with CBS.
On March 8, New York Times journalists, citing informed sources, reported that US intelligence fears Iran may be able to access uranium buried after last year's strikes on the Isfahan nuclear facility. According to these reports, Tehran allegedly gained access to the uranium through a narrow passage in the rubble.
