Most of the right simply trusts Donald Trump. Contrary to what influencers would have you believe, so far the popularity of the war falls cleanly on partisan lines with the main loss of support being among millennials, the demographic with the most intimate memory of the Iraq war. Iraq was disastrous and humiliating for Americans and spelled the decisive refutation of Neoconservatism, and they assume that intervention in Iran will go the same way.
Finally, there are those on the hard right who see Israel as controlling American politics, and think that America is being fundamentally used by Israel against American interests to fight a war that is not our own. While a minority of the right, probably the majority of my readers who disagree with the war fall into this camp.
You might not be interested in foreign affairs, but foreign affairs are interested in you. Either we surrender and abandon our many allies in the Gulf or regime change Iran. Decapitation strike didn't work so ground invasion is the only remaining possibility. It won't be popular but is absolutely necessary.
