A Nigerien gendarmerie officer was killed yesterday, Friday, February 27, 2026, in a clash with elements of a GAT in the Dosso region, during an operation in the Falwel sector, security sources told us.

According to these sources, a gendarmerie patrol had been dispatched yesterday, Friday, to this rural area where armed individuals had been reported.
