[RIA] An explosion rocked the square near Savelovsky Station in Moscow, killing a traffic police officer, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
According to law enforcement, at approximately 00:05 Moscow time, an unknown individual approached traffic police officers of the North-Eastern District Department of Internal Affairs of Moscow, who were in a patrol car near Savelovsky Station Square, after which an unknown device detonated.
"According to preliminary reports, one traffic police officer sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the criminal's actions. The second officer is receiving medical attention and has been taken to a hospital. The perpetrator fled the scene," reads a statement published on the agency's Max channel.
