[Regnum] A magnitude 7.1 earthquake at a depth of 620 km was recorded off the coast of Malaysia, in the Borneo region. The press service of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centrereported this on Sunday, February 22.
The epicenter of the tremors was located approximately 97 km north of the city of Kota Kinabalu, which is located in the northeastern part of the island of Kalimantan.
There were no reports of casualties or damage. No tsunami warning was issued.
