Not clear about the arithmetic "...as many as 50,000 widowed families.." seems to be a top estimate.
- Also, some combatants may have had more than one wife.
- Also, this doesn't include widows of Islamic Jihad.
- Also, some combatants were not married.
It does seem to support the idea that a very high number of the 70k deaths reported by Hamas, are in fact Hamas combatants. |
