| Five countries publicly denounced the UAE backed Rapid Support Forces (RSF) over attacks in Sudan |

Text: #Sudan #SITREP This week, at least five countries publicly denounced the UAE backed Rapid Support Forces (RSF) over attacks in Sudan. The United States condemned RSF strikes on @UN aid convoys and civilian targets. Saudi Arabia described RSF attacks on hospitals, civilians, and humanitarian workers as criminal violations of international law. Türkiye condemned the targeting of displaced civilians and noncombatants. Egypt criticized attacks on aid convoys as grave violations of international law. Yemen also issued a formal condemnation of RSF violence against civilians and humanitarian infrastructure. So far this week, the United Arab Emirates has not issued a direct public denunciation of the RSF. Instead, the UAE called for an immediate ceasefire, protection of civilians, and unhindered humanitarian access. Abu Dhabi condemned attacks on humanitarian operations, including the targeting of a @WFP_Sudan convoy, and said violence against aid workers is unacceptable. The UAE reiterated support for international peace efforts, welcomed a US backed initiative aimed at ending the war, and emphasized its humanitarian role, while avoiding naming the RSF and urging all parties to move toward a political process.
